OTHER INFORMATION

Our group is a Sea Scout group, over summer months we aim to have all sections on or around the water as much as possible. As part of being a Sea Scout Group our scouts and venturers are lucky enough to be able to participate in local regattas. These are generally held about once per month from October until April. They are generally on Sunday, although three events are full weekends. It is expected that all Scouts and Venturers participate in these. We also need lots of parent support to tow boats and assist at these events. We encourage senior cubs, scouts and venturers to participate in a learn to sail program at one of the local sailing clubs to help with their skill and knowledge development when sailing with us, and encourage parents to consider that as an option for them as well.

Due to the high numbers of young people in all our sections we prioritise young people who have an adult who is able to commit to joining our leadership team.  If you are interested in leadership please email [email protected] and we can discuss this awesome opportunity
