Shackleton Sea Scout Group at Tangihua Camp

Shackleton Sea Scouts Group Camp

Shackleton Sea Scouts in Whangārei had their first group camp in over 22 years in May, staying at the Lions Lodge in the Tangihua Forest. The camp was attended by all four sections, with 49 out of 56 youth attending, along with 13 leaders and 6 adults helpers.

There was a range of activities, including hiking to the Kauri Grove, confidence course, flying fox, orienteering, shelter building, Burma trail, and a water slide.

It was particularly pleasing to see the Venturers leading their individual groups, helping the younger members to learn new skills and supporting them in their adventurous pursuits. It was an awesome experience for everybody involved, strengthening the relationships and bonds within our group.

Ka pai to mahi, whānau!
