Scouts
Scouts
Ages 11-14
The Scout Section provides the opportunity for young people to test their limits and take the lead in their adventures…
As a Scout you will:
- Experience a variety of exciting adventurous activities.
- Learn valuable life skills like leadership, responsibility, and confidence.
- Meet new people and contribute to your community.
- Have the opportunity to participate in National and International Events, such as Jamborees and National Schools.
Scouts is about having fun while gaining valuable leadership skills and self-confidence. Scouts enjoy outdoor adventures like mountain biking, rock climbing, and lots of camping while working together with other young people to accomplish thrilling challenges and contribute to their communities.

The Scout promise is:
On my honour, I promise to do my best,
to develop my spiritual beliefs,
to contribute to my community, country and world,
to help other people,
and to live by the Scout Law
Te kī Taurangi Scout (Our Scout Promise)
