Youth from all over New Zealand, Australia, and further afield came together for ten days of action-packed fun from 29th December to 8th January.
Venture is split into two parts – phase one (expeditions) and phase two (onsite).
Venture began with expeditions where youth headed off with their expedition groups for their very own adventure. Expeditions on offer included tramping, mountain biking, rally car building, diving, photography in Dunedin, adventuring in Queenstown, kayaking in Murchison, and much much more! Over 120 attendees explored the West Coast which required 54 minivans, 2 buses, and 5 hours of departures to get everyone and their gear there!
Phase two saw nearly 900 participants come together at Mayfield including youth from NZ, Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands. The Venture site was bursting with activities that youth could simply rock up to and try for as long as they wanted, as many times as they wanted. There was also a social hub for anyone wanting some time to relax and spend time with friends. And that was just during the day, at night time the adventure continued with live bands and DJs and themed evenings.
