From the 11th – 15th April 19 young people from all over New Zealand sailed and kayaked around various islands in the Hauraki Gulf and practiced their new seamanship knowledge and leadership skills as part of the ATL@S National School!

From the 7th -19th January, 70 students descended upon Matamata for the 56th Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School.
Held over the summer break, we had another hugely successful Canoe School this year. 16 Scouts and Venturers, plus four adults, spent a week paddling the Whanganui River (approximately 125kms!).

Snow and Mountaineering Schools took place over the school holidays. These groups were a little smaller than usual due to Covid restrictions, and the weather was a mixed bag but ultimately both schools were a success. Check out pictures from the schools below!
ATL@S 2021! 40 youth had a hull of a good time mast-ering the art of sailing for a week on board the Spirit of New Zealand.
CAVING SCHOOL took place over the school holidays, running from 21 – 26 April in the Waitomo Caves.
At Aviation School students do a mixture of onsite lectures and activities, and visits to places in the Aviation industry. The youth get two opportunities for hands on flying in various aircraft as well as Simulators.
From the 17th – 23rd January Canoe School was in action. 18 Scouts and Venturers left their technology behind them and set out to canoe the Whanganui river.
