Over Easter Weekend, Rovers celebrated their annual Rover Moot. This year’s Moot was held in Aka Aka and themed Déjà Vu Moot.
Last Saturday our Queen’s Scout Ceremony took place at Government House in Wellington. It has been a long wait for recipients as the ceremony had been postponed not once but twice due to changes in Alert Levels.
Rolling around only once every three years, March 20th marked National Cub Day. The theme of this year’s event was The Great Kiwi Adventure! Cubs across the country participated in Zone/Group events to celebrate being a Cub.
The 14th Tri-annual Staveley Adventure Camp opened on the 2nd January 2021 to the arrival of 329 Scouts, 54 Venturers and 109 leaders and staff who would camp together for the next seven days.
It’s that time of year again where everyone gets into their old clothes and spends the day splashing about in mud!
From the 17th – 23rd January Canoe School was in action. 18 Scouts and Venturers left their technology behind them and set out to canoe the Whanganui river.
This year marks 55 years of Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School. From 6th – 20th January this year, 70 students aged between 16-19 descended on Matamata and got put through their paces at flying school.
National Cub Day is a national cub event that happens once every three years. 2021’s theme is THE GREAT KIWI ADVENTURE!
