Usually held to coincide with Founder’s Day weekend, mudslides are hosted by Groups and Zones across the country. They are a great day for the whole family and a chance for the public to come along and see what Scouts is all about.
Every year on 22 February we recognise the birthday of our Founder, Lord Baden-Powell, as well as celebrate the lasting legacy of the Scout Movement. For over 100 years, young people have been taught life and leadership skills to improve their local communities and create a better world!
Held over the summer break, we had another hugely successful Canoe School this year. 16 Scouts and Venturers, plus four adults, spent a week paddling the Whanganui River (approximately 125kms!).
Our current Board is ambitious and is seeking a dynamic individual to support the evolution of
the Scouting Movement in Aotearoa and contribute to a new phase of strategic development
The Greater Christchurch sub-territory held its annual Kon Tiki Raft Race over the weekend. 12 teams of 4-8 Scouts competed against each other to take home the coveted trophy.
